Blue Ridge Harbor Ministries is a Christ-centered nonprofit created to support and strengthen families impacted by foster care in the Blue Ridge region. Our heart is to offer restoration, belonging, and practical encouragement to those walking difficult seasons.
We believe God calls us to be a safe harbor for those who feel overwhelmed or alone.
We are in a foundational season. We are prayerfully building leadership, refining plans, and seeking the resources needed to move forward responsibly.
We believe in careful stewardship and waiting on God’s timing rather than rushing ahead of provision.
Not yet. While full programs have not launched, we are preparing the structure and partnerships necessary to serve families well when the time comes.
We want what we build to last.
Not yet. We are praying for the right location in Bedford that would allow the ministry to grow in the future. If and when God opens that door, we will step forward with wisdom and accountability.
Supportive transitional housing is part of a long-term vision. If pursued in the future, it will be done carefully, with proper oversight and strong community partnerships.
Our desire is always restoration, stability, and healthy reunification — never dependency.
Families connected to foster care often carry deep trauma and isolation. Scripture calls us to care for the vulnerable and walk alongside those in distress (James 1:27).
We believe strengthening families creates generational change.
The general store reflects hospitality and community. It represents a welcoming space and a sustainable way to support ministry efforts if God opens that door in the right season.
It is not the focus — families are.
Blue Ridge Harbor Ministries is supported through prayer, individual generosity, church partnerships, and community support.
We are committed to handling every gift with integrity, accountability, and prayerful oversight.
You can partner with us by praying, giving, sharing the vision, or connecting us with community leaders and churches.
We believe God builds ministries through faithful people walking together.
“He guided them to their desired haven.” — Psalm 107:30
This verse reminds us that God is the true refuge, and we simply seek to reflect His heart.
